Skiing with Disability SnowSport
October 2019

Date: Saturday 26th October 2019
Time: 9.45am onwards - will be slots which I will organise closer to the time!
Where: Chill Factore, Trafford Quays Leisure Village, Trafford Way, Manchester M41 7JA
Price: £5 per person (Minimum Age 4)

Due to the success of the last skiing event two years ago, we will be returning to Chill Factore in Manchester to have another go!

Children (and parents) will be able to have a go at skiing in the fantastic venue Chill Factore. Chill Factore is proud to be the 2010 winner of the Manchester Tourism 'Access for All' award which recognises excellence in accommodating the needs of guests with disabilities. And we could see why on our last visit. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Disability Snowsport UK is a nationwide registered charity, based at Chill Factore and they provide adaptive skiing for individuals with any disability, including physical, sensory and learning difficulties. By using adaptive equipment and specialist instruction and support, they are able to cater for even those with very limited mobility, so we'll have you whizzing down the slope in no time!

There are 12 Sitski's available spaced throughout the day. The Sitski's are for the children with mobility issues who will be unable to stand in normal skis. They are safely strapped into a Sitski and taken down the slope by an experienced Instructor. Parent(s) will need to be waiting for them at the bottom so will be unable to ski.

Then there will be 7 groups of 10 run by 2 instructors on stand up skis. We will be running sessions throughout the day so once tickets are booked up I will organise slots. Please email me if you have a requirement for time. I will do my absolute best to accommodate all requests but obviously cannot promise that I will be able to fulfil all of them. My priority will be attempting to get families in around the Sitski's then to fulfil all other requests.

On this event, you only need to book tickets if you are skiing. Non-skiers will be able to waiting in the cafe area.

To get an idea of what you expect, you can view our last events with Disability Snowsport with quotes and pictures on our website at:
