Fundraising

In our travels, we have discovered that there are some amazing and kind people out there that have donated to or fundraised for Little Hiccups. We want to give a big shout out and say thank you guys - we can not do this without you!

September 2016

A massive thank you to everyone who attended The Psychic Night at Birstall Wellbeing Centre on September 27th. Psychic, Gaynor Garforth was amazing and as well as giving up her time tonight also donated her whole fee towards Little Hiccups.

Thank you also to Rebecca Walker for all her help and for the lovely centre. To Heather Simpson for a beautiful buffet and Helen Hembrow and Derv Chown for selling the tickets.

An amazing £561 was raised for Little Hiccups and Holbeck Eldery Aid. Barclays are matching it pound for pound.

St Peters LogoThe Stanley Community singers from Wakefield made a lovely donation of £100 to Little Hiccups following their summer concert on 3rd July. They hold 2 charity concerts every year and try to support local charities that work with children and families.

The Complex Multiple Impairment Team at St Mary's Hospital in Leeds have donated £45 to Little Hiccups after collecting funds in place of Christmas cards. Thank you!

Leeds Beckett University takes part in a Coca Cola scheme for charitable donations upon the purchase of Abbeywell Water. The Coca Cola scheme gives them a rebate on the Abbeywell Water that we purchase and allows them to donate this to a charity of our choice. This year the University's CARES department who purchase the Abbeywell Water have chosen to Donate the rebate to Little Hiccups and have donated a very lovely £567.60. Thank you so much guys!

Yorkshire Property Charitable Trust logoLittle Hiccups received confirmation this week that Yorkshire Property Charitable Trust has agreed to donate an amount of £3,717 plus VAT to fund a a third Kangoo for us to hire out. This fantastic news means that we can now purchase on in every size!

Leigh's fiancé Helen Spence works at a special needs school in Batley (Fairfield school) and his 12 year old daughter is called Scarlett Rose.

At present the sponsors are around £450.... and Leigh says he is so excited and honoured to help Little Hiccups out after coming to our Xmas Ball in Leeds and seeing what we do.

On 9th May, Harrogate Town Football Club organised a fundraising 7-a-side day with footballers from Leeds United playing corporate teams. The proceeds of the day raised a fantastic amount of £2813.47.

RAG LogoMay 2014

Leeds RAG is a student led, student-orientated society which works to fundraise large amount of money for a variety of local, national and international charitable causes whilst providing students with exciting experiences to help them love their time at Leeds.

The Leeds RAG Community Fund is a collection of money that is distributed in the form of small grants to local Leeds charities who do not benefit from regular donations and who have an annual turnover of £100,000 or less.

Little Hiccups applied for a grant and received a very generous £720 at their Community Fund Presentation Afternoon. So thank you Leeds RAG!

Every quarter LV (www.lv.com) pick a charity to donate £1000 and a second to donate £500. These are chosen from staff nominations and voted for. We are pleased to announced that this quarter Little Hiccups won the £1000 donation! Many thanks to Jonathan Clark for nominating us for this quarter's worthwhile cause!
